Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow.
So we finally got the winters first snow or, at least, the first snow that really counts. And while it is no worse that people still being able to move around, I would be willing to bet that it is enough to paralyze around 75% of public transportation.
I don’t know why, but it seems that they are equally surprised every year. “What? But we didn’t know that there would be actual snow. We know it is winter but…”
I also find that I prefer winter so much more that summer. I is certainly more beautiful, I find, but that is not really the reason. I guess it has something to do with being able to put on more clothes in the winter when you are cold (or take cover under the covers, so to speak) and not being able to remove more clothes when you get to hot in the summer.
Then the obvious solution is, as many people do, to go to the beach, but then staying cool becomes a full time activity and that I do not want.
The fun part is that some people just doesn’t get it. They usually go something like “but why? It is so much warmer in the summer.” And i can’t help but reply something in the lines of: “Yes. You seem to have nailed the problem right there. It is in fact much warmer in the summer. Bravo.”
Not that the danish summer is that warm. It is still warm enough to bug me immensely. And people wonder why I prefer not to travel south come summertime…
